Whether you're a group of arts enthusiasts or just looking for some relaxation and inspiration, Pennine Yorkshire offers a rich mix of culture and arts, with a great range of resident artists, galleries and theatres.

Morning

On the art scene

Visit Huddersfield Art Gallery and see the permanent collection of British art, dating back over the last 100 years, then take a look at one of the temporary exhibitions. Here you will find Yorkshire's only art vending machine, so why not treat yourself to an original piece of contemporary art as a souvenir?

Next stop on the art trail is North Light Gallery, Armitage Bridge, where you can see first-hand the unique quality and character of an original 18th century textile mill transformed into a contemporary creative art space. Natural light pours through the roof, providing a light and airy atmosphere and the onsite eatery, The Café, bakes delicious homemade food using fresh local ingredients.
