- Dewsbury Town Hall and railway station: examples of resplendent Victorian architecture.
- Dewsbury Market: one of the largest markets in West Yorkshire, founded in the 14th century and specialising
in fabrics and clothing.
- Dewsbury Minster attracts visitors from far and wide. The bizarrely named event Tolling the Devil's Knoll
includes the ringing of the bell at Dewsbury Minster at midnight on 24th December each year, celebrating a local
legend.
- Dewsbury Museum.
Events and festivals
Dewsbury town centre is transformed in the summer event 'Dewsbury on Sea'. The real sand beach in the market, street entertainers and seaside fun and frolics are followed by the main event - Dewsbury Gala and Flower Show.

Bounce 'n' bump with Mr Bump!
Join Mr Bump of Mr Men fame in a family day of face painting, balloon modelling and other fun activities.
