Sculptures at the White Room

Art attack

Watercolours and glassware, ceramics and sculptures, the many galleries and workshops dotted throughout the area reflect our thriving artistic community.

Artists' studios include that of well-known landscape watercolourist, Ashley Jackson. And for a real treat visit Honley's Holme Valley Warehouse, with its unique combination of original art and renovated furniture.

If you're a contemporary art fan, you'll find new media, photography and modern art in changing exhibitions at the Media Centre and Huddersfield Art Gallery. And for sculpture that promises to challenge, inspire, inform and delight, a trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a must.

James Webb: Prayer – Sound installation
