Art on show in one of Kirklees galleries

Art galleries

Kirklees is home to a wealth of creative and artistic talent - there's an extensive range of galleries and a host of resident artists. The district literally brings together the work of hundreds of artists from across the UK and beyond. A visit will give you the opportunity to view work from a wide selection of established and emerging artists.

Whether you're a student, a connoisseur, a first time buyer or a seasoned collector, come along and enjoy the galleries, artists and much of their inspiration - the backdrop of stunning scenery and the friendly people of Kirklees - a hub of activity for all art lovers.

Public galleries

The public galleries throughout Kirklees constantly provide imaginative exhibitions and displays of art, of regional and national importance and of interest to local people and visitors alike. Kirklees is most certainly a place where you can see the work of well-established artists alongside that of up-and-coming artists.

Working galleries and studios

If you would like to make a visit to a working gallery, we strongly recommend that you contact the gallery first to book a suitable date and time for your visit.
