Marsden Jazz Festival
During the festival weekend the village of Marsden is filled with both music and visitors who find jazz to suit all
tastes and shops and stalls to browse. Ticketed concerts take place in the Mechanics Hall and other venues round
the village but a large proportion of the 60 plus events take place in the pubs and clubs and are free. Many
visitors use a pick and mix approach, moving from venue to venue sampling the various bands - and beers - on offer.
Holmfirth French and Craft Market
French bread, cuts of meat from the charcuterie, cheeses, cakes, garlic, olives, spices, dry fruits and mustards,
are just some of the mouth watering foods to tempt your taste buds. The French market sells a wide selection of
goods including specialist soaps, ceramic cookware and tablecloths from Provence.
The regular Craft Market traders also showcase their unusual and traditional craft items on all three days of the
event, with items for the home or a gift with a difference. |
