Music concerts
Concert Season showcases a series of concerts to cater for all tastes. Vocal harmonies, orchestral strings, and
rich brass fill our concert halls offering fantastic shows for music lovers. Regular concerts take place all year
round.
June - August: Open Air Brass Band Concerts
The season of open air brass band concerts present performances from some of the best brass bands in the region at
several open air venues around Kirklees. The concerts invariably provide the highlight of a visit to a traditional
market or an afternoon in the park.
September - June: Kirklees Classical Concert Season
The Kirklees Concert Season presents the best possible range of live classical music over 40 performances in the
magnificent town halls of Kirklees. Each year's programme contains some of the finest music and involves some of
the finest performers both regionally and nationally.
Huddersfield Choral Society Concert Season
Huddersfield Choral Society performs its annual subscriber 'Concert Season at Huddersfield Town Hall'. Demand for
tickets usually outstrips supply and there's a waiting list of over two years for some seats - so it's best to
regularly monitor the choral society website for information about the concerts.
September - May: Huddersfield Jazz
Huddersfield Jazz is a non-profit making organisation run on a voluntary basis by a small group of jazz
enthusiasts. The aim is to provide live jazz music featuring a variety of the best national and international
jazz, as well as providing opportunities for emerging musicians. The club holds regular monthly events from
September to May each year in the friendly atmosphere of The Syngenta Cellar at the Lawrence Batley Theatre,
Huddersfield, where full bar facilities are available. All are welcome and there's no membership fee.
