Holmfirth Festival of Folk

May events

Shepley Spring Festival

A brand new folk festival for 2007. Shepley is a rural village in the heart of the Yorkshire Pennines.

The festival events will be held around a local meadow on the edge of the village near the campsite. Shepley villiage is close to motorway links and has it's own railway station on the Huddersfield to Sheffield line.

Museums Month

An exciting time for museums in Pennine Yorkshire and across the country. The month of May is packed with special events and activities at Bagshaw, Dewsbury, Oakwell, RedHouse and Tolson museums.

Holmfirth Festival of Folk

Every year at the beginning of May, Holmfirth hosts the Festival of Folk. The festival, great fun for all the family, maintains the best of local folk traditions.

Promoting young and emerging talent whether local, national or international has been part of the festival since it began.
