January eventsHolocaust Memorial DayThe Holocaust Memorial Day is held every year in Huddersfield Town Hall.On 27th January 1945 Soviet troops liberated the Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz. Today this date symbolises Holocaust Memorial Day and each year on the anniversary the victims of this and the more recent genocides of Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Kosovo are remembered. "Influence the future by learning from and remembering the past." |
