Up to 30% discount for parking in Dewsbury, Holmfirth and Huddersfield

If you're one of the many people who regularly travel to and from town by car, you probably want to access easy parking. Kirklees car parks offer a safe environment to park your vehicle.

Many of our car parks are under CCTV surveillance and have achieved the prestigious Park Mark safer parking award.

To make life easier, you can buy parking season tickets for up to seven days a week in Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Holmfirth.

You'll get 30% discount when you buy an annual season ticket and pay for it by direct debit.

With direct debit, the amount is taken automatically from your chosen bank or building society account each month for ten months. It's the hassle-free way to pay and you are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. There's more about this guarantee on the application form.
What are the benefits of buying a parking season ticket?
  • Annual season tickets include a 30% discount for 48 weeks and a free month.
  • Quarterly season tickets include a 25% discount for 12 weeks and a free week.
  • Paying up front or by direct debit means no queues and no looking for change for the ticket machines each day.
  • You can choose the number of days you want each week, from one to seven days.
  • If your annual season ticket is due to run out, you just have to let us know and we'll automatically renew it for another year.
  • You can register up to two vehicles on one season ticket.
  • There's no charge if you change your vehicle, we'll issue you with a new permit.
  • If your permit is faded, we'll replace it free of charge.
  • We will try to contact you if we find any problems with the security or the condition of your vehicle.
Please note that having a parking permit does not guarantee a parking space.

Before you apply for a season ticket

Please be aware of the following terms and conditions:
  • We need your vehicle registration number, and the registration number of the second vehicle if you are registering two.
  • You would be charged £20 to replace a lost permit.
  • All permits remain the property of the council and are not transferable.
  • You must clearly display your permit when you park your vehicle during charging hours. If you don't display your permit you must pay for a daily ticket.

Paying by Direct Debit

  • The minimum purchase must be for one year.
  • You must give us one month's written notice if you decide to cancel the direct debit agreement and there may be a charge for cancellation.
  • Your permit will be cancelled if you miss a payment. Your vehicle may be issued with a penalty charge notice and recovery action taken, with additional costs.
