Cleckheaton Town Hall
Built in 1892 the Town Hall is in the heart of the Cleckheaton on Bradford Road.

This impressive building contains a 500 seat theatre with full backstage and technical facilities plus a selection of refurbished function and meeting rooms.

Cleckheaton Town Hall is a busy venue offering a large numbers shows, events, dances and community use. It is a very popular venue for amateur dramatics, dance schools, music and dances.

History


The foundation stone was laid by William Anderton, Esq JP on the 21st June 1890. Cleckheaton Town Hall was officially opened by Mr Joseph Law Chairman of the Town Hall Committee on 10th February 1892. The opening day was declared a half day holiday and the celebrations included processions, a football match, a lavish Ball and a magic lantern show in the Market Place.

The Town Hall hosts many events throughout the year including the renowned Cleckheaton Folk Festival this annual event attracts thousands of people every July.

Everyone is welcome to CleckheatonTown Hall and we will do whatever we can to ensure you have an enjoyable visit. Staff are available to help, so please ask us if you need any assistance.

Parking & Dropping Off - There are a limited number of parking spaces for blue badge holders next to the Town Hall in St Johns Car Park. There are also two car park spaces directly in front of the building.
Lifts Access - The lift accesses the concert hall, bars and meeting rooms on the 1st and 2nd Floor. Please note that there are steps to all rows of seating on the Balcony.
Wheelchair Users - The Town Hall is accessible to wheelchair users and the dedicated seating is available in the side Stalls.

An induction loop and dedicated toilet facilities for those with disabilities are also available within Cleckheaton Town Hall. We also welcome guidedogs, please ask if you need help you your seat.
