You can read some of the comments we've received recently, and see how we are responding to your suggestions, on the Your comments page.
You can expect to receive a high standard of service from this site. For example, if you use the site to ask a question or report a problem, you can expect a prompt response. About the team
This site is maintained by the Kirklees Web Development team. We work on a range of web-related projects, and we are always looking for new ways to provide online services and information for local people. Some of the things we are working on are:
Improving this web site
You can find out what new features we're working on at the moment by visiting the Current projects page.
Digital TV

We were one of the first councils in the UK to create a digital TV site - our local site is called INtouch kirklees. We also own and manage a national project called DigiTV, which helps other councils to set up digital TV sites. Find out more on the INtouch kirklees pages.
Mobile technologies
We offer services and information by mobile phone, including:
- Kirklees Alerts - free SMS text messages from this site, telling you about subjects that you are interested in.
- Text receipts - when you use many of our online forms, you can choose to receive your receipt as a text message.
- Chatback - a text messaging project for young people in Kirklees.
- INtouch mobile - The INtouch kirklees site can now be used on mobile phones.
- iTex - a text messaging solution that we offer to other local authorities.
Kirklees Council's Intranet
We maintain an Intranet for Kirklees Council staff. The Intranet helps employees to share information, and helps the council to provide services more efficiently.
