RingGo is a quick, easy to use mobile phone service, which lets you pay for your parking with a credit or debit card, rather than using cash at a machine, for a small charge.

When you park in an area featuring the RingGo service, you can pay for parking by using a smartphone app, calling, text message or via the RingGo website.

How to use the service

To use the service you need to register your vehicle and payment card details. You only need to do this once and then you can use the service whenever you need to pay for parking.

You can register in advance or at the same time you want to park, by either using the RingGo app or their website:

There is a small charge for using the service and this goes directly to RingGo.

  • For transactions of £1 or less, there is a charge of 4p
  • For transactions over £1, there is a charge of 16p

Reminder text messages are an optional service and charged at 20p per message.

All prices include VAT.

Please read the RingGo terms and conditions thoroughly when you register.

Once registered, RingGo recognises your mobile phone number and retrieves information you have given previously. This means that when you pay you only have to provide:

  • The location code where you are parked. Each area offering RingGo has its own four or five digit location number.
  • Refer to signs on parking meters or use the Ringo parking locator to find them.
  • The length of time you want to park.
  • Your payment card three digit security code.

If you need a VAT receipt for your RingGo parking session, you can view and print it online by logging in to your account on the RingGo website. If you provide RingGo with an email address, you can opt to receive a receipt automatically every time you park.
