Yes - there is a small grant aid scheme called Sports in the Neighbourhood to which local Kirklees sports clubs can apply in order to improve facilities and assist with development initiatives.
About Sports in the Neighbourhood
The Sports in the Neighbourhood small grant scheme is run by Culture and Leisure Services. Applicants can apply for funding for projects which increase and improve opportunities for people to participate in sport and recreational activities.
What is the grant for?
Sports clubs and any voluntary organisation involved in the promotion and/or development of sport. For more specific eligibility criteria see the terms and conditions that appear in the guidance notes and application form.

Other funding
For larger scale development initiatives or for higher levels of grant aid funding there is Sports Lottery funding and Awards for All.
Yes - Lottery Capital Fund advice is a service provided through the Culture & Leisure Services. This includes advice on how to make contact with Sport England, what the process will entail, help with sports development planning and how to tackle issues relating to equity and sustainability is available.
Advice on other Lottery funding is also available (for example, The Active Communities Development Fund and Awards For All). These two revenue streams may be just what you need to develop your club.

This is a grants programme set up to help small groups and is supported by the Heritage lottery fund, the Arts council for England, Sport England and the National lottery Charities Board. Its main aim is to fund projects which involve people in their local community to enjoy a wide range of arts, sport, heritage, charitable and other community activites. Funding available is between £500 - £5000. You can apply at any time, the application form is simple and you find out the results quickly.
