  • Situated in Crow Nest Park at the bottom of the main drive leading from the Boothroyd Lane entrance to the Park and in close proximity to the lake
  • The Memorial commemorates the South African War of 1899 – 1902

    Description - a bronze statue of a volunteer, with a slouch hat, bandolier and rifle on a red granite plinth with bronze plaques. The model for the statue was Leonard Crane, who served in the South African War and was killed in action during World War 1, October 1916
