What we're doing

As part of our work to be GDPR compliant, we need to make sure we correctly manage any personal information we hold about our employees.  This survey will help us check how our progress.

Survey invites will be sent by email to managers within Kirklees Council - this is an internal survey.

By completing the survey, managers will help the organisation understand where we are on the journey to establishing good GDPR compliance for staff records, and help us identify how we can best support services to get it right.

What happened?

128 responses were received - thank you for taking part.

Findings demonstrate that there are opportunities to improve
- retention schedules on the intranet detailing staff records
- Systems duplication
- Consistency of processes relating to staff records

The findings will help with developing a corporate records management plan.

What difference did the work make?

A staff records management plan is now in development and once implemented, will be assessed again to check progress.
