Staff travel survey 2017

What we're doing

Kirklees Council and KNH are taking part in the West Yorkshire Annual Travel to Work Survey. This helps us to build a picture of commuter travel across Kirklees and West Yorkshire. The survey helps us to understand current travel to work patterns and reasons for travelling in this way, and this year we are also asking about journeys for work related purposes.

When we're doing it?

Between 04-Dec-2017 and 18-Dec-2017

We will be

  • Asking for information

  • Climate change and the environment
  • Crime and anti-social behaviour
  • Events, leisure and culture
  • Health, wellbeing and lifestyle
  • Roads and transport

Where's it happening?

Across the whole of Kirklees:

More information on what we're doing

The survey will take less than 5 minutes to complete so please help by getting involved, if you work for Kirklees Council or Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing. Look out for the link on the intranet.

The results from the survey will be published in aggregated form, and where comments are included in reports they will be anonymised. No individuals will be identified.

If you are interested in supporting council staff to travel more actively, please contact Priti Gohil,

What difference did the work make?

we have launched our Walking and Cycling Strategic Framework which sets out the collective priorities of the Council and our partners to encourage more people to walk and cycle more often. Alongside our strategic framework will be a delivery plan to highlight the steps we need to take in order to achieve our ambition.
