Cleckheaton Farmers Market is held on the 1st Saturday of each month, 9am to 1pm.
Selling a wide range of local produce for the well-stocked kitchen, this nationally accredited farmers market is located in St Johns Car Park (next to Cleckheaton Town Hall).
It is generally accepted by most farmers' markets that stall holders must have grown, bred, caught, pickled, brewed or baked the goods themselves. Their main emphasis is to help local producers and processors to sell their goods direct to the public, near their source of origin, creating benefits to them, the environment and the local community.
The selection of produce available at the Farmers' Markets will vary with season and location often characteristic of the area. However you are likely to be able to find a delicious selection of vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, bread and cakes, jams, fruit juices and dairy produce.
Holmfirth Farmers Market is the other farmers market in Kirklees, and is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, 8am to 2pm at Holmfirth Market.
