Employee Healthcare

Employee healthcare is an in-house council resource that provides a range of Occupational Health Services and advice to KMC employees and managers. Employee Healthcare provide a range of services including medical referrals, health screening, counselling, workplace assessment, specialised health checks, vaccination and immunisation programmes, encouraging employees to keep fit through subsidised leisure activities via the Active Leisure (HEAL) Scheme, first aid and emergency aid training and health promotion.

Care First Employee Assistance Scheme

Employee health care also provides Care First Employee Assistance Scheme. Care First is an independent provider of confidential workplace support programmes for employees and their families and offers a professional telephone counselling service, information services, debt management and legal guidance.

The HEAL scheme

Employee health care also offer the HEAL (Healthy Employees through Active Leisure) scheme. The scheme helps Kirklees employees improve their health and feeling of well being, improving their quality of life both in their leisure time and at work.
