Kirklees Supply Service

KSS currently recruits supply teachers, one to one tutors, invigilators and business support staff onto its register of supply staff and provides a one-stop service for schools to make a single telephone call in the event of them needing supply cover.

KSS was launched in 2004 in partnership with schools, teacher unions and the local authority. During the academic year 2010/2011 KSS had a 99.5% success rate in filling requests for supply cover.

KSS were awarded the DfE Quality Mark in 2011, which sets minimum standards for agencies and local authorities to meet.

KSS endeavours to be an ethical service providing staff with pay rates in line with national and local conditions of service, training and development opportunities and support for individual career aspirations.

KSS wants to hear from individuals who would like to work on a supply basis in Kirklees schools who:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have classroom experience within the last 3 years
  • Are available to teach in a number of schools throughout Kirklees
