Working for the Catering, Caretaking and Cleaning Service

We provide catering services in around 190 Kirklees schools, cleaning services in about 140 schools and over 200 hundred other buildings, a caretaking consultancy and peripatetic support service, and carry out specialist cleaning services such as housing voids clearances, and kitchen canopy and ventilation extract systems.
We aim to provide responsive and flexible services to meet the individual needs of our customers. We recognise our role in supporting our customers in achieving their goals of service delivery, especially in the field of education, and our responsibility in supporting the Council's wider agendas of health, sustainability, and equalities.
Our objective is to continually improve the standards of products and services. To that end, we are fully committed to developing the knowledge, skills and competencies of our management teams, and the front-line staff that they support.
A high proportion of our jobs are on a part-time basis and some of the jobs are only required during the school term. We also have jobs that require people to work on a flexible basis to provide cover in school kitchens when necessary.

You will receive in-house training and on the job support as well as excellent conditions of service.
Interviews can be carried out at a Kirklees building or school close to your home, at the Cleaning Office based in Huddersfield or at our office in Mirfield.
An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure may be required for certain posts. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
