Ward Profiles (2004 wards)

Information by ward, e.g. population estimates, recorded crime, employment and unemployment, council tax benefit recipients, welfare benefits, electoral turnout, other information.

There is more ward information to be found on the ONS Neighbourhood Statistics website. However, the information is based on statistical wards which are constructed using a 'best fit' of 2001 Census output areas. This means that the wards used by ONS do not always match electoral wards used in the Kirklees ward profiles. However, Holme Valley North, Holme Valley South, and Dewsbury South wards are the same as ONS statistical wards because these wards changed very little in the 2004 boundary changes.
