Census 2001 Profile by 2004 wards and North/South Kirklees

Key Statistics by ward and North/South Kirklees

2001 Census Profiles and Key Statistics for Kirklees 2004 Wards and North/South Kirklees*, also Key Statistics for West Yorkshire Districts, West Yorkshire and England and Wales.

Key Statistics are Census 2001 tables available at output area level and above. Output areas are the smallest areas for which data is available (1,287 areas cover the whole Kirklees area). Census 2001 Profiles present information for one ward/area together with comparisons for Kirklees and England and Wales.

There is more ward information to be found on the ONS Neighbourhood Statistics website. However, the information is based on statistical wards which are constructed using a 'best fit'of 2001 Census output areas. This means that the wards used by ONS do not always match electoral wards used in the Kirklees ward profiles. However, Holme Valley North, Holme Valley South, and Dewsbury South wards are the same as ONS statistical wards because these wards changed very little in the 2004 boundary changes. Documents are Excel Spreadsheets or in PDF format. You require Microsoft excel to view the spreadsheets.
