About lottery funding

The National Lottery raises £25 million a week for Good Causes. For every £1 that the public spends on Lottery tickets 28 pence goes to good causes.

Lottery funders are the organisations that distribute money to local communities and national projects. Areas that receive funding include the arts, charities and voluntary groups, heritage, health, education, the environment and sports.
