The Department for Work and Pensions is the biggest public service delivery department in the UK. It is responsible for welfare and pension policy for
employment programmes targeted at supporting long term unemployed people, lone parents and families and disabled people.
They work in partnership by contracting and funding services with providers from the voluntary and private sectors, local authorities, Job Centre Plus and the disability and carers services. |
