Holmfirth Civic Hall | This impressive building lies in the heart of the Last of the Summer Wine countryside.
Holmfirth Civic Hall was an amalgamation of two buildings. Holmfirth Town Hall was built in 1842 at a cost of £2,200. Various uses have included a Magistrates Court and welfare clinics.
Meanwhile the Drill Hall was built in 1891/2 at a cost of £1,700. Both buildings were purchased by the borough council in 1946 and were reopened as Holmfirth Civic Hall on the 7th November 1947
The building is now used for a wide variety of activities from Concerts to Badminton Courts, Exhibitions to Meetings and from Dances to Shows. The Civic Hall can accommodate anything from a small meeting for 6 up to a 320 seat capacity concert.
Our facilities include portable licensed bar, disabled access, lift to all floors and toilet facilities, induction loop available on request in advance, stages in both Large and Lesser Halls, stage lightning and sound system, technical assistance is available on request and car parking is available near by.
