Almondbury Sports Centre
|
Almondbury Sports Centre is a purpose built gym and fitness centre located within Almondbury High School.
The centre offers a range of facilities including: sports hall with badminton nets, cricket lanes and football goals, dance studio, fitness studio and squash courts.
Gym/fitness studio
The gym includes a full range of cardio and resistance equipment.
Gym membership costs well below its competitors and included in the price is a free induction and personalised programme. You can also pay for the gym per session.
Membership £10 a month
Cost per session £2.60
Sports hall
The sports hall has a variety of uses and includes football nets, netball hoops and cricket lanes. You can hire the hall on an hourly basis and it is perfect for team games such as football or netball.
Hall hire adults £40 per hour
Hall hire children £25 per hour
Badminton
The badminton courts are set up in the hall and can be hired per hour.
There is also an ongoing training course for those who are looking to improve their game. The course runs in 10 week blocks which you pay for in advance.
Badminton court £8.10 per hour
Badminton training £34.50 for10 weeks
Basket Ball
Each Sunday 11.30am to 1.30pm (14 years and older)
Table tennis
Table tennis table £4.60 an hour
Squash
Almondbury has 2 high quality squash courts with a viewing area.
Squash courts £5.30 for 40 minutes.
Dance/aerobics studio
Available to hire for practice sessions and individual groups, the space has a fully sprung floor and floor to ceiling mirrors.
Dance studio hire £15.60 an hour

5.15pm to 6pm, little dragons (ages 4 to 7) £4
6pm to 8pm adults and children £6
Tuesday
Ignite: upbeat, lively street dance classes for 7 to 11 year olds Tuesday 5pm to 6pm
Wednesday
Taekwondo
6pm to 8pm, adults and children £6
Badminton
6.15pm to 7.15pm 10 week course £34.50
Also:
Maverick: an urban, dynamic class combining street and hip-hop class for 12 to 16 year olds.
