History
The Hall was purchased in 1969 by money raised by the village residents. The hall was made usable by a volunteer committee and ran succesfully for nearly 40 years. Throughout that time the fabric of the buidling became tired and equipment outdated and due to the DDA regulations the hall no longer was fit for purpose. A renovation fund was created and in 2008 we succesfully secured £235,000 from the BIG Lottery Fund to start the renovations.
Further funding was obtained from a variety of sources and the total build cost was £365,000. Work started in November 2008 by our contractor Woods, Masonry & Construction Ltd of Dronfield and the new hall was officially opened on 2nd May 2009.

The new hall is a modern, environmentally friendly facility with under floor heating powered by a Ground Source Heat Pump. All materials are environmentally friendly(where possible).
The hall now comprises of the main hall, a small friendly meeting room, full commercial kitchen, ladies & gents toilets, disabled toilets and has full electronic disabled access.
The rear of the building has a designated disabled parking area and is paved with a walled garden area.
