Honley Aid in Sickness Fund

Modest donations can be given to the residents of Honley and Brockholes.These are given when the NHS or Social Services cannot provide help. They are often as a result of referrals by GPs, Health Visitors or other health or education professionals.

| History | | This charity was founded in 1952 from an amalgamation of other historic Honley-based charities (Honley & District Nursing Association, Diamond Jubilee Nursing Fund (1897), Josiah France Memorial Fund and a bequest from Mrs P Winder (1943)). It was endowed with capital to provide aid to the poor and sick persons resident in the Parish of Honley and Brockholes. |
