Unsupervised children in Kirklees libraries

Good Practice guidelines relating to children aged under 12.

Kirklees Libraries fully adopts the guidelines produced by CILIP (the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals), which sets out the procedures and practice guidelines to assist library staff in dealing with circumstances where children are perceived to be a risk of harm by being left unsupervised by parents or carers.
