Kirklees Involvement Network

Kirklees Involvement Network

Kirklees Involvement Network (KIN) is a self advocacy network of people with a learning disability and their supporters from all over Kirklees.

What we do

We support local people with a learning disability to have a voice about the things that affect them, so they can really be involved in decision making.

Network meetings

Come along and make new friends

We meet every 6 weeks in North and South Kirklees. Our members decide what they think is important.

We make sure our members get the right information so they can make their own decisions

The Learning Disability Partnership Board

We have 5 champions with a learning disability who sit on the Kirklees Learning Disability Partnership Board. Our champions listen to the Network Members and take their views to the board.

This makes sure that our members views and concerns are taken straight to the board, and are used when they are making decisions about services for people.

Events and projects

The Kirklees Involvement Network supported National Learning Disability Week 2016. The video shows the support available in Kirklees for people with a learning disability to have a full and rewarding life.
