What does the meals on wheels service do?

The Meals on Wheels Services can deliver hot meals to your door. The days and times of deliveries can vary according to where you live. This is because all meals are prepared in our own kitchens, and are then delivered to homes in the surrounding area.

We can also arrange for frozen meals to be delivered regularly to your home for you to store. You or a carer or your home care assistant can thaw and cook these meals each day. There is a set charge for each meal.

Who can have the meals on wheels service?

We can only provide this service if a Community Care Assessment identifies the need for the provision of a main meal. This helps us to make sure that we are providing the right services to people who need them the most.
