gatewaytocare@kirklees.gov.uk

56 the crescent moved to a new building in April 2006. It is now known as Crescent Dale, it is based in Heckmondwike.

It is a specialised home for adults with learning disabilities. Crescent Dale is a bungalow that has 8 bedrooms all with en suite, 1 main bathroom, 2 lounges, 2 dining rooms, a main kitchen and a laundry.

It is a no smoking building but there is an area outside that you could use if you do smoke.

If you come to live at Crescent Dale a member of staff will be your link worker. They will help you make your own choices and decisions. They will also help you to make new friends and stay in touch with old ones and your families.

The cook will make most of the meals, however we can help you to make your own.

If you have any cultural or religious beliefs we will support you all we can with these.

People who live at Crescent Dale can have help from an advocate, this means a person to help you tell others what it is you want.

You will need to complete a personal financial statement which will be sent to our client financial affairs department, they will then tell you how much you will beed to pay to live at Crescent Dale.
