If you are looking for a venue to stage a concert or show, for a suitable place to hold a wedding reception or party, or just a room to hold a meeting, then you are almost certain to find something to meet your requirements in the Council's portfolio of venues at an extremely competitive price.

Town halls
Our town halls are centrally located in some of the key towns in Kirklees. As such they are generally well-connected in terms of roads and public transport and suitable for large events and events which attract visitors regionally (and nationally) in addition to an extended local audience. They are also suitable for meetings and celebrations, large and small, where people need to travel from various locations to a central point.

Huddersfield Town Hall and Dewsbury Town Hall are regularily in the spotlight as they are often used as media backdrops (TV, film, and radio) for dramas or concerts. They are used for all manner of productions due to their authentic Victorian interiors.

Our community buildings are just that, though it's worth looking at The Deighton Centre, which is a large modern meeting and event venue located close to Huddersfield's thriving town centre, although situated in the heart of the Deighton community.
