From the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend to the end of August we extend our Night-time Noise Service to cover Sunday nights.
Any Kirklees citizen who is bothered by night-time noise can telephone 01484 414828. The service operates between 9:00 pm and 5:30 am on Friday and Saturday nights and between 9:00 pm and 3:00 am on summer Sunday nights (June, July and August) and Sundays on Bank Holiday Weekends.
How loud can I play my music?
There is no set level. It will depend whether anyone is likely to be disturbed by the noise. Are there set times when I can play my music? There are no set times. It depends whether you are causing annoyance. In general, daytime noise is more likely to be tolerated than night time noise. What can you do about loud music from car stereos? It is not possible for us to take action against occasional cars passing through. However, if there is a persistent offender, send details to us and we will investigate.
