How you can get involved

Environment Unit - August 2007

Engagement is needed at every level, from individuals, community groups, schools and other organisations, interested in improving their local environmental resources.  The more diverse range of people and types of projects within a green network, the more successful the project can be.

As you can see from the case studies in the green network booklet, many aspects of this project have already been delivered at a community and local level.  The key to delivering a successful green network at a district and regional level is by enhancing existing working partnerships and building new ones.

In autumn 2007 we will be drawing up a green network action plan, listing potential projects which will help us bid for further funding and prioritise resources.  At this stage there will opportunities for your community to suggest potential projects and get involved in making them happen.
