We want to ensure that all Kirklees residents are aware of the support that is available to them. The following organisations help raise awareness of the effects of fuel poverty and give advice on how you can become more energy efficient and save money in your home.
Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees
For Kirklees residents aged 50+ Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees can provide support and advice on how to make life more enjoyable and fulfilling. They provide advice about a range of services, from care homes and day care to energy efficiency.

Consumer Direct
Consumer Direct is a government-funded telephone and online service offering information and advice on consumer issues. They provide impartial advice to help you sort out problems and disagreements you may be having with suppliers of goods or services.
Consumer Focus
Consumer Focus is the new consumer champion for the UK. They are a powerful body which allows it to investigate any consumer complaint of "wider importance" as well as campaigning for a fairer deal for consumers. If you have a complaint you can contact them.
Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre
The Energy Saving Trust is the Government backed advice service that provides free, impartial and expert advice to anyone for domestic energy advice. Helping you to stop wasting money and energy in the home.
National Energy Action (NEA)
It is estimated that around one in four households in Yorkshire cannot afford to heat their homes properly. NEA is a national charity campaigning against fuel poverty and develops and promotes services to tackle the heating and insulation problems of low-income households.
Their website will give you an insight to all the different campaigns around fuel poverty and also provide research reports and publications.
Yorkshire Energy Services (YES)
Yorkshire Energy Services are an energy conservation company that work across the public, private and voluntary sector offering affordable energy saving solutions and expert advice to householders and organisations.
