Environmental Waste - November 2007
wastedirect@kirklees.gov.uk

The council operates a free collection service for garden waste from domestic premises. Commercial premises should contact the Council for details on charges. Up to 15 bags or manageable bundles at a time will be collected on request. This service extends to grass cuttings, hedge clippings, or other light garden waste. It does not cover soil, rubble or tree branches. These can usually be collected but someone will need to visit to assess the charge.

Alternatively you can dispose of waste from your own household free of charge at your nearest household waste and recycling centre. These sites have separate skips for compostable garden waste. If you are interested in composting waste in your own garden please telephone 01484 223115 for further information and advice.

To request a collection please complete the online request form below or telephone 01484 414700.
Access for people who are deaf: Textphone 01484 223462.
