Staff training days
Staff have five training days per year. These are also called pupil occasional holidays. If staff do training outside of normal school hours,
this also counts towards their total training time. When staff do the equivalent of a full day's training outside of school hours, then one of
the five pupil occasional holidays is also a holiday for the staff. This is because the staff have already put in the hours.
Each school may have up to two pupil occasional holidays that are also holidays for staff. If schools wish to allocate more, a written request
giving details must be submitted to School Admissions, Oldgate House.
