Mapping out your revision

Mindmaps are not the only kind of graphic organiser that you can use to help you with your revision. Try some of these…… Venn diagram
Venn diagrams are useful for sorting information by making comparisons between ideas, things, people etc. List characteristics of the two items you are comparing in the largest segments of the circles. Anything they have in common goes in the middle section. Try it with two poems that you have studied for GCSE English.

fishbone diagram

Fishbone diagrams are used to show the cause and effect of something such as the causes of the second world war. Add as many fishbones as you need.

circular diagram
This diagram is used to show how a series of events happen again and again such as the food chain.
