All settings/childminder should have both the Kirklees Quality for Young Children Document and the Quality Assurance
Portfolio.
Settings/childminders will need to add evidence to complete this portfolio by referring to the guidance given in the
Quality for Young Children in Kirklees Document.
Settings/childminders seeking accreditation need to work through each section of the Quality Assurance Portfolio. The
Portfolio clearly sets out the process that needs to be followed to achieve Quality Assured Status.
The first section of the portfolio gives information about the accreditation process. There is a further section which
sets out the 10 Quality Dimensions, which is divided into sections for samples of evidence to be included.
Further guidance for the use of these documents will be given on the Quality Assurance Induction Training.
