To ensure the witness statements can be used as accurate evidence it is important to ensure that the witness statement relates to your setting appropriately.

It is important to see who the witness is and what enable them to give a judgement on your provision.

Who the witness is i.e
  • Mentor
  • Advisory Teacher
  • Parent
  • Colleague
  • Committee Member
It is useful to have the position/job role of the witness but also what qualifies them to make a judgement i.e.
  • Role/Job title
  • Qualifications
  • Range of experience
  • Curriculum vitae
A parent who has worked with you for some time

This information will enable us to give more credit to the statement being used.
