Gillian Butterfield - June 2005

The evidence within the portfolio should be organised in such a way that the assessor is clear where the evidence is.

Settings/childminders should complete the evidence tracking sheet specifying what evidence it is and where it is to be found.

A lot of the evidence will be within your main reference files for example the following:
  • Financial records
  • Individual Learning Plan/Record of Achievement
  • Team Meeting Minutes
  • Health and Safety folder
  • Fire drill book
  • Accident book
  • First Aid box
  • Policies and procedures
  • Staff files
  • SEN folder
There is no need to photocopy this evidence just ensure that on the evidence tracking sheet you have said where that piece of evidence is for example:

Fire drill book - in the office in the filing cabinet

Health and Safety folder - in red file on the shelf

Individual Learning Plans - blue file on the shelf in the play room
