Building schools for the futureBidders InformationGillian Donohoe - April 2010school.organisation@kirklees.gov.uk Kirklees Council held a BSF Bidders' Day on Friday 26th March 2010.The event was open to building contractors, architectural practices and ICT suppliers who wanted to find out more about Kirklees’ BSF programme and around 100 delegates from over 60 different organisations attended. Among the speakers were the Deputy Head Teacher from Westborough High School and who explained what the pupil and fellow staff would like their future schools to be like. The Chief Executive Rob Vincent, joint Cabinet Member for Children and Young People Councillor Cath Harris and senior Council Managers provided an overview of the Council and outlined the Borough's BSF strategy and vision. Please note the school designs which appear in this presentation are initial drawings. They aim to show the transformation needed can be achieved within the funding available. These designs will be reworked during the bidding process and beyond by the successful partner selected to design and build the schools.
