Date What happens
Week beginning 31 October 2011 Kirklees infant and first schools distribute transfer packs or the School Admissions Team posts them directly to parents of children attending other schools on request.

Online admissions are available from this date.
Please note you will need to be using Internet Explorer 7, or later, or an alternative browser for the form to work at this time.
Sunday 15 January 2012 You will be able to apply online until 11.59pm on this date. We must receive your application by this date. As this is a Sunday, we will also be accepting paper forms that we receive in the first post on Monday 16 January 2012. Remember that a late application can severely reduce your chances of obtaining a place at your preferred school.
Friday 20 April 2012 We will post your offer letter second-class on this date. Please remember this is the date on which your letter will be posted and not the date on which you will receive it. If you have applied online you will receive an email offer on 20 April 2012. Online applicants will also receive an offer letter.
Friday 11 May 2012 This is the last day for you to request an appeal form for community and voluntary controlled schools. Voluntary aided, free or trust schools may have different closing dates for appeals. You must contact them directly.
June to July 2012 Appeal hearings take place.
Last school day of the 2012/13 school year Waiting lists close.

From the age of three onwards Application forms are available at all Kirklees primary schools.
12 September 2011 Online admissions are available from this date.
