Brokerage purchase care from independent home care organisations who have been accredited by Kirklees. These organisations
deliver some of their services on behalf of Kirklees Council to people over 18 years old who have been assessed as being in
need of a care package.
All the home care organisations that Kirklees Council contract with are registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission and must deliver their services within the required legislation, regulations and standards.
The Brokerage Team work with the Contracts and Monitoring Team to make sure that the home care organisations provide a quality service that meets the required standards. They do this by working closely with home care organisations to improve service delivery where there is a need, to share good practice, investigate any customer complaints or concerns and carry out quality assurance visits to make sure a good standard of service is maintained.
