Charges for care homes across West Yorkshire

Well-being and Integration (Adult Services) - October 2011
margaret.watt@kirklees.gov.uk

If we agree to arrange for you to stay in a care home, you will have to pay either the full amount or a contribution towards the cost of your care. This will depend on your financial circumstances.

If you have more than £23,250 in capital (this is savings, property, investments and so on) you will not receive any help towards your charges, apart from during the first 12 weeks in the care home.

If you are not sure whether to contact Kirklees Adult Social Care or a care home direct, you should obtain independent financial advice before making a decision.
