Education Social Work Service
Responsible for advising schools on pupil attendance, safeguarding and other children's issues and provides support for families
of school-age children whose education is at risk. Disability, emotional, mental and physical health, truancy, parenting
problems, family problems, bullying, illegal employment, learning and behaviour difficulties are all issues which can affect a
young person's progress at school. Education Social Workers aim to help children and families remove barriers to learning and
give every child the chance to succeed.
Educates pupils who are temporarily unable to attend mainstream school for various reasons. These pupils may have medical needs,
physical illness or injury, be anxious non-attenders, be pregnant or school-age parents or have Special Education Needs (SEN) or
behavioural, emotional and social difficulties in exceptional circumstances.
Gateway to care provide up-to-date information on social care services, health services, voluntary organisations and disability
services for people of all ages, their parents, carers, families and friends.
Cloverleaf Advocacy gives independent advocacy and support to people with a disability. Services are free and confidential.
