Vulnerable adults are at particular risk of abuse. A vulnerable adult depends on other people for at least some of their care and support. Abuse refers to various forms of force, threats and fraud. If you feel that you or someone you know is being abused contact Kirklees Adult Services. If you telephone we will begin an enquiry immediately and ensure we respond to you quickly.
Children with certain disabilities, such as learning difficulties, can be at particular risk from abuse. All children and young people have a fundamental right to be protected from harm. These are the procedures agencies in Kirklees work to when children are at risk of being harmed. If you are a parent, friend, relative, neighbour or professional, and you suspect child abuse you should report it. To report child abuse contact a help line and explain your concerns as clearly as possible.
