Shopmobility helps disabled people to get around the town centre by
providing scooters and manual wheelchairs. The scheme allows
you access to town centre facilities without having to rely upon other
people. You can use Shopmobility scooters and powered wheelchairs
to do your weekly shopping, call at the bank, visit the library, meet
with friends, enjoy a meal or simply to browse around the shops.
We work with Kirklees Highways Service to provide crossing points
on town centre streets. Many town centre areas are also pedestrianised
for better access to facilities, improved safety and greater comfort.
