Who can have day opportunities and where are they?

Kirklees Council Well-being and Communities can help the following people to get day opportunities:
  • Adults with a learning disability
  • Adults with a physical disability or sensory impairment
  • Adults with mental health concerns
  • Older People
  • Younger people with dementia.
We want to provide support that is targeted to your needs, as identified in your support plan. Our aim is for you to have choice, control and independence in the way you live your life.

Who provides day opportunities

Day opportunities are provided by Kirklees Council or one of several other independent and voluntary sector providers that we have a contract with.

Alternatively you may choose to receive a direct payment and arrange your own support.
